Profile
Sam Groshong, a life-long Oregonian, believes that our growing disconnect from one another is rooted in our disconnect from the natural world. Because of this he values connection through sense of place, reciprocity with nature, community building, and leading with love. Sam facilitates a sacred space in which these connections can be fostered, enabling individuals to do the work of healing themselves and connecting to others.
Sam has engaged in a lot of his own healing work, often with psilocybin as his guide. Before becoming a facilitator, Sam received a BS in Environmental Studies and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy, with a focus on Sustainability. Sam is well versed in holding space for individuals dealing with trauma, illness, and the dying process. He has a strong personal commitment to anti-racism, anti-sexism, and anti-fascism. Because of this, He commits to promoting and embodying equity, diversity, and inclusion through a trauma-informed lens.
